Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci kept detailed journals of inventions.
These journals depicted illustrations of inventions that didn't exist until well into the future. Itwas like a book of prophecy except instead of foretellingevents, it foretold inventions. The helicopter, tank, hang glider and bobbin, were just some of the inventions he envisioned and described.
To protect his ideas from discovery, Leonardo wrote in mirror script, which
could only be deciphered by reading it's reflection in a mirror. It was if he knew of their importance but couldn't create them because he lacked the technology.
Leonardo was not educated in science or mathematics
and he never felt comfortable, or welcomed, in discussing his ideas with scholars. If not for his fame as a painter, we may not have discovered his journals or learned about his inventions that didn't get invented until centuries later. In fact, scholars have studied his journals to determine if there is anything they have missed. Anything he envisioned that should be invented. It is believed, as was depicted in the best selling novel The Da Vinci Code, that Leonardo possessed many interesting secrets.
